[it's cold outside, luceti, and the traveller wants this cold snap to end. it can't do much about that, but it is trying to at least perk the flowers up as they begin to bud. the little red cloak is in the Welcome Centre garden and other gardens around town today, visiting any budding flowers to sing to them and try to wake them up.

sometimes it works and the flowers bloom a little, but most of the time the flowers refuse to wake, leaving the traveller confused. come teach it that flowers in luceti don't work that way?]

[Passing by while finishing some errands, but Cilan finds himself stopping to watch when he notices the traveler...singing to the flowers? Huh, that's kind of interesting...he'll watch quietly for a minute or two before he speaks up.]

it is so excited to see Cilan that it runs straight up to him and flumps against his knee, trying to get to him. it bounces off a little and runs back, trying to rub its face against his hands]

the traveller sits for a moment, enjoying the headpats and the contact and the feel of energy flowing through its scarf, but it knows it can't just do this. it has to show Cilan what it has learned!

so after a bit, it runs off to the flowers it was attending and jumps next to them, sending up peals of music to call Cilan over]

Hm? [Oh, the flowers? Cilan will come right over, kneeling down again by where the traveler is now standing by the flowers.] I saw you singing to these a moment ago. I take it you're looking after them?

[it looks down at the flowers and throws its head back, letting out a louder peal of music]

[when the energy from its song hits the flower bud, it opens. the traveller turns to Cilan, wiggling back and forth in pride]

[Whoaaa that is cool. The traveler gets some modest clapping for that one--it certainly should be feeling proud of itself!]

Amazing! What an incredible taste~!

[it wiggles even more when he claps, happy that it could make him happy]

[he can do this too, yes? it looks from Cilan to the flower and hops a little. you try!]

Hm? What is it? [The traveler is still hard to understand, but he feels like he's been around the other enough times to sort of get a slight feel for what it was trying to say. In this case, it almost sounded like it was asking a question of some kind as it's looking at Cilan and then back at the flower.] Is there something you want us to do?

[Find a way to water the flower for it? ...Sing or whistle to it too?]

[it turns to the flower again and then throws its head back, letting out a loud note of music. the energy washes over the flower and it sways. the traveller turns to look at Cilan again]

...Oh! [Okay, he kind of gets it now, though he smiles a little sheepishly.] I could try, but I don't think I'd be able to produce the same effect you can, doing something like that. [But he'll humor it by humming a note or two to demonstrate. ♪

Don't be too surprised if little to nothing happens in comparison to your cool trick. ^^;;]

[it watches the flower, but nothing happens and it looks up at Cilan again. maybe his power isn't charged up? the traveller turns to walk behind him to check his 'scarf']

I'm sorry. Admittedly, our taste in whistling isn't as impressive as yours.

[And we're not wearing a scarf like what you've got. But we do wear a snazzy bowtie. Cilan turns his head a little to try to see what it's doing. Is it looking for something?]

[oh no, Cilan is a noob has no scarf! the traveller stares up at his back and then runs around to the front. still no scarf, although that tied thing at his neck looks kind of like a scarf if it was small and tied in a knot! still, the traveller can't see a scarf, so it runs back behind him and starts chirping]

Ah...are you looking for something?

[But we can't imagine what exactly it's looking for, so he's just kind of turning his head to watch where the traveler moves in front of us, and then back behind us. Give us some kind of hint, maybe we can find a way to answer your question about the lack of scarf?]

[it stops at his back and chirps again, turning around so Cilan can see the traveller's scarf. then it turns back and looks at him curiously.

[At first, Cilan's a little confused, but he does notice that you have a nice scarf...wait, is that what you're looking for?]

I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I don't have a scarf like yours. While scarves certainly have a fashionable flavor to them, I usually wear them during the colder parts of winter. Unfortunately, I don't have one that would be more fitting for casual wear at the moment. [Not yet anyway. Depends on whenever a fashion bug strikes. He puts a hand over his own tie with a slight laugh.] But even without one, I'd say that my bow-tie is in good taste, too!

[Anyone who says bow-ties are dorky can leave, they just don't understand how fitting they are for gentleman like ourselves. Not that the traveler would care that much about fashion???]
