[the traveler has appeared on the edge of town along the road. anyone in the surrounding buildings may have heard it chirping and calling out as it runs toward the town square. and anyone it encounters along the way will have a close to three foot tall red cloaked creature running circles around them.

Are you laughing too? [He can't help but laugh again.] Yeah, just like that!

[ The bird lets out a few more chirps to mimic the travelers tone. And then it'll flutter a bit and take flight around the two of them. Luminair will watch, stretching his wings in mirror movements.

Helios will whistle and the bird will follow in suit, almost forming a song of sort. ]

[it would sing to him, but being on its face makes that difficult. the scarf waves in the air lazily instead, tapping lightly against Loki's wrist. it must be the wrong mountain, but how could there be a wrong one?

it doesn't understand and that just makes everything so unhappy.

after a moment, the traveler climbs to its feet and shakes]

[and then it runs off into the bushes. it will find the right mountain and come back for you, Loki!]

that was not fun at all.

the traveler looks up at Saori and lets out a wet trill like a garbled violin and flops over in her arms]

[it mimics her back and then swishes its cloak, pipping in a different tone]

okay, no more trying. that is hard. it gives up and swirls its cloak instead, takes a step forward and falls flat on its face onto the ground.]

the traveler moves forward, making the same chimes again]

[Loki stares after the little creature. He makes a token attempt to follow, but this entire afternoon has been incredibly surreal.

He sits down on a fallen tree and reads for a bit, then gives up and goes home, in search of tea.]

[this is so confusing, but wonderful! song! the traveler watches and then tilts its head back, letting out a loud howan. the energy spills over the ground and the people around it, like a bubble]

[ He tilts his head to the side. ] Do you eat?

[after being prodded, it climbs back to its feet and turns to billy. now that he's down on its level, it leans forward to nuzzle his cheek.

[when they touch, the traveler glows softly and it nuzzles his cheek fondly. when it moves away, the glow remains for a moment and then it pips at Billy.]

[when it hits the sand again it pips and runs forward and...promptly falls into the sand. hooray!! it kicks its legs happily even if it's face-down in sand.]

[Yes, it is okay and it is quite happy! But it needs to travel. The mountain is in the distance again and so it stands up, looks at Saori and trills at her. Then it turns and runs off over a sand dune, ready to move along to its next destination. It doesn't seem to mind if she comes or not, but it's moving with purpose now and is quickly disappearing into the distance.]
