[the traveler has appeared on the edge of town along the road. anyone in the surrounding buildings may have heard it chirping and calling out as it runs toward the town square. and anyone it encounters along the way will have a close to three foot tall red cloaked creature running circles around them.

[ ..... Well, at least it isn't coming any closer - sort of - giving Lightning a few moments to figure out how to approach this abrupt little problem. She throws a glance towards her house, but then fixes her gaze firmly on the odd little being making a racket on the edge of her lawn once more.

Her pride makes her oddly resistant to speaking out more so far, though, because even with nobody else around for some reason it would feel silly to ask the questions burning in her mind. So, for now, she just. Stares. ]

[ Ikki definitely heard something musical. She had been playing along the road to the town square herself - that is, the road between her house and there - and stopped fiddling with her marbles the instant the chirps came into her range.

...That was definitely new!

[The traveler stops and looks at the stranger who has appeared, talking to it. It tilts its head and chimes at her.]

[With its scarf charged, the traveler flaps its wings and rises into the air for a moment - symbols glowing on the scarf - then it drops back down next to Kohaku, chirping.]

[It's seen people do this a lot today, so the traveler runs up to Toph's hand and bumps its head against it like a cat or dog.]

[She whistles back in the singsong voice of a bird]

[It calls again, the symbol showing up and then it chirps at Jim, running around him.]

the traveler looks up and tweets at this new stranger.]

[the traveler chirps and a little symbol appears by its head for a moment before disappearing.]

[Whoooooooa! The traveler's cloak ruffles in the wind and it looks at Sabriel. She can sing like the Others do. It sings back to her, letting out a large sound wave to ruffle her hair and clothes.]

[Running down the road, the traveler is singing along, trying to find someone new to talk to. It lets out small bursts of energy, leaves scattering away from its feet.]
