[the traveler has appeared on the edge of town along the road. anyone in the surrounding buildings may have heard it chirping and calling out as it runs toward the town square. and anyone it encounters along the way will have a close to three foot tall red cloaked creature running circles around them.

[WHOA being hugged, this is new. What are arms?

GUUUUUUH hey music. It's confused for a moment and looks at Ikki, tilting its head to the side, then it chirps back, trying to copy what it just heard.]

[ Arms are these things around it, although it can get away from Ikki pretty easily. She's just affectionate by nature, especially with cute animal human things she's never seen before! ]

Woo-ow, you have such a pretty voice!!

[this is weird, but eh, it's not so bad. and its cloak is being slowly charged from being in such close proximity. it glows softly, even if it isn't picking up much energy, and the traveler nuzzles Ikki's cheek. hello strange creature, hello!]

[breezing]

[ why is it glowing what.

Ikki would ask, but she's already figured out they don't exactly communicate on the same level. She nuzzles her cheek back against the traveler, and loosens her grip, staring at it curiously. ]

Is that good or bad? Are you gonna explode?

[chirpchirp]

[nope, nope no exploding. it keeps glowing, but it doesn't seem to do much other than glow and send a soft feel of warmth. it looks up at Ikki, tilting its head since it can't move much else.]

[breezing]

[ Well, it seems happy enough. Maybe it can bend light like she can bend air? Other worlds have lots of strange abilities like that.

Ikki sings her reply back, since that seems to make it happy. ]

I never knew anyone who glowed~! Except the Avatar, I guess.

[what is an avatar? maybe this girl is an avatar. yes. this girl is avatar, okay.

the traveler sings back to her in a mimicry of the word avatar and wiggles]

[ not quite, but she is an avatar princess, according to her grandfather the avatar.

Ikki giggles again, still sing-songing her speech. ]

I'm going to call you Sava!!

[sava? what is sava? oh well. it doesn't seem bothered by it and wiggles a little more, swinging its feet happily]

[ The first name to come to mind, little traveler! Ikki hums back at the traveler, wondering for the first time if she can learn this language, or if it's just singing to itself without meaning. ]

D'you know what that is? [ She taps the ground they're sitting on, curiously. ]

[chirpchirp]

♪?

[it taps the ground with its foot, also curious. what is Ikki trying to say? is she pointing something out to it? the traveler leans forward a little, looking at the earth.]

[breezing]

[ ...wait maybe that's too big a thing to start with. She locates a rock, and picks that up, bringing it over in front of them. ]

Rock~?

[chirpchirp]

[it mimics her sounds and looks at the rock. yes, hello, rock. hello! ]

[breezing]

[ Well, that sounded right! So...

...she's not sure what comes next. She hums back the last line that had come after she'd been mimicked, and points at the rock again, wondering if that's what it had meant. ]

[it mimics her back and then swishes its cloak, pipping in a different tone]
