[the traveler has appeared on the edge of town along the road. anyone in the surrounding buildings may have heard it chirping and calling out as it runs toward the town square. and anyone it encounters along the way will have a close to three foot tall red cloaked creature running circles around them.

[He just smiles and rubs lightly back. He isn't sure what this creature is - some kind of monster? - but he definitely likes it.]

[it chirrups and glows softly when Emil rubs its face and crowds forward, enjoying the contact.

as for names, it doesn't mind what people call it. it is a traveler and it has its rune and it will have a new rune whenever it finds the mountain and ascends again. it slides along Emil's hand and then ducks up under his arm to huddle against his side.]

[Emil blinks for a moment when it nuzzles up against him, then laughs again and sort of puts an arm around it in what could probably be classed as a hug.]

You really like being around people, huh? If you're that lonely, I guess it couldn't hurt if you came home with me...

the traveler thrums once and settles in, kicking its feet idly against the ground. it doesn't really understand what is going on, but it's rather happy to be so close to someone]
