< hm...alone? okay, then time to find a new buddy! >

[the traveler has appeared on the edge of town along the road. anyone in the surrounding buildings may have heard it chirping and calling out as it runs toward the town square. and anyone it encounters along the way will have a close to three foot tall red cloaked creature running circles around them.

[Reaching the fountain, the traveler bumps up against the edge and hoists itself up so it can be where Kazuma is. Then it stops and turns to him.]

Oh- [the little hop onto the fountain took Kazuma a little by surprise. It's not some secretly dangerous monster under that cloak was it!?]

Um...I'm guessing you don't really understand what am I saying, do you?

♪!!

[it chirps suddenly, quite loudly and then looks at Kazuma. Why isn't Kazuma's scarf glowing? :( ....for that matter, where is his scarf?]

♪♪♪ ♪?

[It hops down to take a look, but makes the mistake of hopping into the water.

...and precedes to flail and fall over.]

-!! [Traveler, person, thing, flailing in the water, potential to drown. We don't want that! Kazuma puts aside his book and comes forward to grab the traveler and pull them out.

...Wow, it was surprisingly light.]

♪~...

[wet and confused, the traveler makes a warbled sound at Kazuma and then stares at him.]

♪~

[Still can't understand what the Traveler was saying, but he assumes it was grateful for getting it out of the water.] Hehe. You look like you've never been in water before.

[For a moment he thought he saw an odd symbol upon contact with the Traveler too...maybe he was just seeing things.

He carefully moves the Traveler onto the bench and decides to take his cloak off to help the Traveler to...well be more dryer. Somehow he thinks it be rude for him to take the robe off it. His cloak manages to cover the little guy pretty well at least.]

♪♪?

[Yup, that makes no sense. The glow from being picked up is gone now and hidden under the sudden addition of another cloak.

Which is awesome because now the traveler doesn't feel like it's going to die from whatever that stuff was in the fountain.

But it's also panic mode time because HOLY ELDERS, THE OTHER GUY JUST TOOK HIS BODY OFF]

♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪♪!!!!!!!!!!!

E-Eh? [Kazuma has, no clue what got the little guy all excited all of the sudden. Was the cloak too heavy on it or something? He pulls the cloak off.]

Are...um...hm~? [That. Was his attempt to "chirp", which was more like a very awkward hum sound. He feels silly for even trying now.]

<YOUR BODY CAME OFF. ARE YOU OKAY?!>

♪♪♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ !!!! ♪♪ ♪!!

[It's just going to smash it's face against Kazuma's stomach and try to power him up. Don't die, new buddy!!]

Wha-!? [Kazuma is just...too flabbergasted to say something. Oh god, what was this thing doing!?

...Although he did feel this incredible warmth and this floating like sensation. Just...what was this thing? Wait, it started to flip out after he took off his cloak. So maybe if he puts it back on--oh god wet cloak.]

I-I'm okay! Hey...uh...♪~? [a little better, but still kinda garbly]

[The glow might spread even if it can't exactly power up others to fly here. It certainly can glow like it usually would when it contact with someone else. The traveler pulls away when Kazuma puts his cloak back on and seems to calm down, standing there and looking up at him.]

♪~

...♪... [Well, he's happy the Traveler wasn't freaking out anymore, but now...his back was soaking wet. It must have thought his cloak was like it's own or something and...trying to explain that he doesn't have to wear it all the time might prove difficult. And what was up with that light...? There's a lot of weird stuff he'd like to figure out with this little guy, but he kinda wants to get out of this wet cloak first.]

I uh...need to get going. [He stands...don't mind that he's 6']

< ELDERS>

[ the traveler freaks out again, but this time it just crowds up against Kazuma, letting out periodic chirps. visions! give it visions!]

♪ ♪ ♪ ♪ ♪

Huh...? [Did it not want him to go or...wonder if it would understand drawings? It's not like he's getting anywhere with speaking to it. So he takes his journal out and draws, somewhat crudely, himself and then a house. He'll then show it to the Traveler.]

Maybe you'll understand this?

[The traveler crowds forward looking at the book. It had one of those. It went somewhere. The traveler couldn't carry it, so it just left it behind. It noses the picture and examines it. A structure? A house? It chirps once at the drawing, wondering if there will be more revealed.]

[...Well nothing gets revealed, but Kazuma is having the impression the Traveler still didn't quite understand. So he'll add a few more things.

There's now an arrow of himself going to the house and a cloak above the house. Cloak seems to mean safety or...something familiar? Maybe it might understand that...]

♬♩♬♩♬♩♬♩♬♩♬♩!

[There! They must go there! There must be others like them! Or the next level to go to! Yes!

The traveler chirps furiously and then starts running down the road to where it last remembers seeing houses like the ones Kazuma drew.]

..........[And Kazuma will be over here, watching the excitable Traveler run off before going on his way. He doesn't have a clue what the Traveler had interpreted with his drawing but...hopefully it won't find too much trouble.]

[it turns back when it doesn't hear other footsteps and looks at kazuma for a moment.

then it chirps.]

♩?

[and starts coming back for him]

[Kazuma stops when he heard the chirp. He turns and finds the Traveler coming back to him.]

...? Do...you want me to follow?

♬

[it will show you to the place that looks like your drawing! come with it, Other!]

... [What has he done? Admittedly, he was a little curious to know what this little guy interpreted....O-Ok, he'll come Mr. Traveler :x]

[hurrah!

okay!

okay. UM.

okay.

time to go! the traveler sends another note of music and then turns, running to the closest building that resembles Kazama's drawing. it's the grocery store! is this what you wanted? it stands outside the building, chirruping at Kazama]
