[the traveler has appeared on the edge of town along the road. anyone in the surrounding buildings may have heard it chirping and calling out as it runs toward the town square. and anyone it encounters along the way will have a close to three foot tall red cloaked creature running circles around them.

[Spock blushes a bit at the affection...he hopes he comes across Traveler again relatively soon.]

When I take my hand away, we will no longer be able to communicate. Though if you meet me, please feel free to initiate contact, it will be a pleasure to talk with you. Perhaps we can play music together next time?]

[Spock nods and rubs Traveler's head once more for good measure then stands as he removes his hand. Spock lifts his hand in a Ta'al...]

[Well, that's certainly surprising. Kohaku flinches back slightly when the scarf suddenly expands, but once she realizes it hasn't exploded or something, she just laughs. When the traveler takes off, she flaps her own wings and lifts off the ground to follow it upwards.]

[the connection is broken and the traveler is dazed for a bit. it's so strange to be able to communicate with someone. bizarre, even, but it was nice. it looks up at Spock and trills to him, then turns and starts walking off through the forest.]

[And she follows easily behind, keeping up the air so that he can keep himself out of trouble. Whatever this creature is, he's very entertaining, and charming in his own special way.

[ Okay she's just going to have to hug it now because she wants to hug it forever or alternately be best friends and go on adventures she's already mentally making up ]

[Loki follows along. When the Traveler stops, he hesitates for a moment, then picks it up and sets it on his shoulders as he would a child.]

[WHOA being hugged, this is new. What are arms?

GUUUUUUH hey music. It's confused for a moment and looks at Ikki, tilting its head to the side, then it chirps back, trying to copy what it just heard.]

up on his shoulders, the traveler chirps once or twice and then goes quiet, swinging its legs happily where it sits]

[it flies for as long as it can, flapping its cloak to keep airborne as it tries to head for the forest and the mountain beyond. it a good few yards and then slowly, the power drained from its scarf, it begins to drift toward the ground.]

[it keeps walking, fascinated that it doesn't have to flap to stay afloat and eventually comes to a clearing. it stops in the center and looks up at the mountains barely peeking out from beyond the trees and pauses.

[Following the creature, the wind god stops in the clearing as well, pointing up at the mountain]

You want to go there? Its far. But there is another way, if you follow me.

[She points in the direction of the teleporter]

[Loki smiles. This seems to be working nicely. He makes certain the Traveler isn't going to fall off, and then continues on in the direction they were headed.]

[He hums again, rolling his shoulders, letting the movement shuffle the wings. He's so- so energized by the wings. It's adorable. He's never seen anything made so happy so easily, just by hearing a simple noise.

It's refreshing, in the middle of a complicated-as-ever life.]

[At last Emil gets it! Or thinks he does, at least.]

[ Helios smiles affectionately as he watches the Traveler. He chuckles a little and shakes his head. ] It's all right. It took me quite a while to get it too.

[ He'll begin drawing them again very slowly, so that the Traveler can see how the shapes are made. He gives the Traveler an encouraging smile. ] Now you try.

[it swings its legs, trilling as they walk and then it notices that the mountain is getting closer, but to their right. it turns its head that way and chirps]

[it tilts its head and turns back around. it is what it's asking, but it doesn't quite understand Emil's question]

[it climbs back up and looks at the runes again and then tries again. this time it just draws a simple four petal flower and sits down next to it. floweeeeeeeeeeeeeeer]

[it hears sound from the front and looks up at Billy. there are indeed wings on its back - dark red like its cloak - but it can't see them and it doesn't seem too concerned or even aware they are there]

[it will follow since this new Other has been here longer, and it is smart to follow those that have gone before.

it turns and walks over to her, looking where she is pointing]

[And off she goes, heading to the teleporter.]

It may feel strange. But step on it with me.

[She waits for the Traveler, her foot raised just over the panel that'd take them to the mountains...or the beach...she's not sure since she's only used it once. Recipe for disaster get?]

[ Arms are these things around it, although it can get away from Ikki pretty easily. She's just affectionate by nature, especially with cute animal human things she's never seen before! ]

[ She's a lot more insistent about getting the traveler moving, this time, her current plan to just sort of... take it to the welcome center. They'll know what to do there, right? ]
